Earth, wind and fire exhibition, Muse Gallery

December 2020 – January 2021

In this series of raku fired female figures I have sought to suggest a lightness of being and joyful movement. Raku firing is an exciting process that produces some unpredictable results – these were glazed with a white crackle glaze and the unglazed surfaces turned black as they absorbed carbon during the reduction process. My thanks to Sophie Lankovsky who owns the raku kiln.
